School Cleaner – Sutton, South West London

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious School Cleaner to join a friendly school team in Sutton, South West London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

* Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, communal areas and other designated areas to a high standard.

* Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting floors and surfaces.

* Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely and appropriately.

* Cleaning and sanitising high-touch areas and frequently used facilities.

* Replenishing cleaning materials and reporting low stock when required.

* Following school cleaning schedules, health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.

* Reporting maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns to the appropriate person.

* Ensuring cleaning equipment and products are stored safely after use.

* Working professionally and respectfully around pupils, teachers, support staff and visitors.

* Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

About You

The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude and good attention to detail. Previous cleaning experience is desirable, particularly within a school, educational or commercial environment, although training may be provided for the right candidate.

You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, while following instructions and established cleaning procedures. A professional approach and commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment are essential.
