A skilled part-time Maintenance/Caretaker is needed for a diverse and dynamic media company in central London. TVF Media operates in many media areas including interactive digital media, communications, television programming and distribution, post production and the arts.

As Maintenance/Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our working environment in both a hands on manner day to day, and in terms of planning and project managing longer-running projects. Your role is both repairing and maintaining existing works whilst always proactively thinking about how we can improve as a company. You will be responsible for up-keeping the immaculate condition of our wooden floors throughout the building (achieved by regularly waxing and buffing them) and will be integral to ensuring the smooth running of all elements of the office through responding quickly and effectively to queries from a web based issue tracker, and being the touchstone for office and building issues.

Within this role there is further scope for you to grow your own projects for developing the office building. As well as being part of the immediate response team, you will have longer term projects which you will research, budget and self-manage. Each project will be part of your role from its inception, to the final work completion.

Successful candidates will have great communication skills and will be proven to be reliable, flexible and trustworthy. As you will work across all our businesses, candidates must have strong knowledge of all maintenance skills, and an ability in electrical circuits or plumbing is desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also useful.

Shifts:

16-20 hours per week, ideally split across Mon-Fri (though there is flexibility here).

Salary: £17 p/h + (depending on experience)
