Cleaner, Facility Maintenance

Cleaner / Caretaker Oxford OX1 £ 13.12 per hour PAYE 37 Hours per Week Immediate Start in September 2-Month Temporary Contract (with potential extension) A local authority in Oxford is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner/Caretaker to provide cleaning, caretaking and facilities support across its community buildings, including Oxford Town Hall.

Key Responsibilities Carry out cleaning duties across offices, kitchens, toilets, stairwells and function rooms. Provide caretaking services, including waste disposal and building security. Lock and unlock buildings and operate alarm systems where required. Set up and clear rooms for meetings, functions and events. Support events through room and equipment setup and breakdown. Respond to FM Helpdesk requests and undertake minor maintenance repairs.

Assist with the care and maintenance of pool cars and bicycles. Deliver excellent customer service to staff, visitors and building users. Essential Requirements Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, portering or facilities support. Experience using cleaning equipment and materials, with knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Willingness to undertake a variety of duties across different locations and departments. Ability to carry out manual handling duties, including climbing stairs and ladders. Desirable Full UK driving licence. Experience carrying out minor maintenance repairs. Experience setting up audio-visual equipment and/or maintaining vehicles.
