Senior Area Facilities Officer

Senior Area Facilities Officer needed in South East London Paying £24.43 per day

Full time hours on a temporary basis

• Manage the day-to-day operation of facilities across a designated geographical area or portfolio of sites.
• Ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard and remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
• Monitor, manage, and review contractors responsible for cleaning, security, maintenance, grounds maintenance, and other support services.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify maintenance requirements, health and safety issues, and compliance concerns.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes and coordinate reactive repairs.
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including fire safety, asbestos management, water hygiene, electrical testing, and health and safety legislation.
• Manage facilities budgets, authorise expenditure, and monitor costs to ensure value for money.
• Investigate and resolve building-related complaints and service issues.
• Prepare reports, performance data, and recommendations for senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, contracts, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Support emergency planning and business continuity arrangements.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and external agencies to ensure service delivery standards are achieved.
• Supervise and support facilities staff where required.
