Facilities Assistant

Please note, this position requires an enhanced national security clearance prior to commencing employment.

A Facilities Assistant supports the smooth, safe and efficient operation, security and maintenance of our clients’ buildings and OCS Soft Service day-to-day service delivery. This role involves handling basic repairs and minor maintenance activities, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and assisting with general facilities management tasks.

• Basic Maintenance Tasks
• Maintain records of maintenance work and service schedules
• Porterage, Mail & Hospitality
• Conduct Basic Building Fabric Inspections
• Support office moves, furniture setup, and space planning support
• Support external contractors and service providers
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness across site.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Respond promptly to facilities-related requests or emergencies
• Support Reception & Security Teams

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Basic IT skills (e.g., email, spreadsheets, reporting tools)
• Awareness of health and safety practices

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar role (preferred)

• May involve physical tasks (lifting, moving equipment)
