Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Supervisor to oversee and manage daily agricultural operations. The Field Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient execution of fieldwork, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of fieldworkers. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in agriculture, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable farming practices.
Jobresponsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.
- Ensure that fieldwork is carried out according to the established schedule and quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team of fieldworkers, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure a well-organized and efficient workflow.
- Monitor crop health, growth, and overall quality.
- Implement pest and disease control measures as needed, following organic or sustainable farming practices.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of farming equipment, including tractors, plows, and harvesters.
- Coordinate with the equipment and maintenance team to address any issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols for crops, ensuring that they meet or exceed industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and address potential issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Proven experience in agricultural management, with a focus on field operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of organic or sustainable farming practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with crop monitoring tools and technologies.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
