Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Farm Manager to leadand oversee all aspects of our agricultural operations. Theideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of farm management, a strong background in crop production, and the ability to implement sustainable and efficient farming practices. The Farm Manager will play a key role in planning,organizing, and directing the activities of the farm to ensure productivity, profitability, and environmental stewardship.
Jobresponsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for crop production,considering factors such as crop rotation, soil health, andmarket demand.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define long‑term goals and objectives for the farm.
- Oversee all aspects of crop production, including planting,cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting.
- Monitor and manage pest and disease control measures, adhering to organic or sustainable farming practices.
- Prepare and manage the farm budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations and resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities forcost savings and revenue generation.
- Lead and manage a team of farm workers, providing training,guidance, and support.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and goal attainment.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of farm equipment,including tractors, plows, and harvesters.
- Manage the procurement of necessary resources such as seeds,fertilizers, and other inputs.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Proven experience in farm management, with a focus on sustainable and/or organic farming.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of crop management, pest control, and irrigation practices.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
