Senior Manager, Competition

This role can be based at any of our office locations:
London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Glasgow. At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Manager, Competition to lead key projects within the Economics, Finance and Markets (EFM) Directorate. The ORR is the independent safety and economic regulator for Britain's railways and the monitor of strategic highways.

The Competition Team leads on financial and economic analysis, overseeing the competitiveness of markets across the rail sector and its supply chain. You will be responsible for leading key projects and work streams to promote and protect competition, ensuring value for money for passengers, freight customers, and taxpayers.

• You will provide project leadership, delivering a robust work programme - including market studies, enforcement cases, and competition policy development while navigating the practical and commercial realities of the railway.
