Overview

Business Support Manager (Compliance) – Lead business support for housing compliance and help us deliver safe, efficient services for residents. Croydon Council’s Housing Directorate is seeking a proactive and skilled Business Support Manager (Compliance) to join. This is a key leadership role providing operational support to our Compliance division, ensuring compliance services run smoothly and effectively.

About

The Role
  • Lead a multi-skilled Business Support team, ensuring high performance, flexibility and customer focus.
  • Support the Head of Service in developing and implementing service standards, processes and performance indicators.
  • Support, develop, and implement a suite of reports for the compliance team on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee business support budgets and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
  • Promote innovation, service improvement and self-sufficiency across compliance.
  • Monitor performance, produce management information, and take action to resolve service issues.
  • Lead on any complaints or enquiries that the Compliance team may receive.
  • Build & develop a high performing business support team.
  • Carry out regular one to ones and appraisals with team members.
About You
  • Strong experience of leading and motivating business support or compliance teams.
  • Knowledge of establishing service standards, KPIs and delivering service improvement.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Confident in analysing complex information and providing advice to senior leaders.
  • Strong IT and data analysis skills, with the ability to drive efficiency and value for money.
