The RoleThe Head of Investment Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering M&G Asset Management’s global investment content strategy and product marketing activities.
This position leads the development and delivery of our investment communications capability: creating innovative, scalable, and market-leading content that differentiates M&G in a highly competitive asset management landscape.
About the FunctionInvestment Marketing is accountable for producing high-quality messaging and content across M&G’s range of products and propositions, including Thought Leadership, Product Marketing and Product Reporting. The team partners with Investment, Sales, and the wider marketing function to articulate M&G’s investment capabilities, translating complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences globally.
Key Responsibilities- Content and Editorial strategy
- To develop and deliver the M&G asset management content strategy in close association with brand and regional marketing, sales channels and investment teams
- To drive brand differentiation in the asset management industry through the delivery of creative, thought-provoking and market-leading content
- To lead the editorial process to determine content priorities to support commercial priorities and respond to relevant market developments.
- Product Marketing
- Lead the transformation of the product marketing team to deliver to M&G Asset Management’s strategy for wholesale and institutional channels
- Oversee the product marketing team delivery across all asset classes both at a fund and thematic level supporting content requirements across the client journey
- Ensure the team is well set up to meet the increasing demand for product content as the business grows internationally and across channels
- Thought Leadership
- Lead the strategy and execution of thought leadership written content, including thematic and market reactive content.
- Engage with the CIOs, Investment Specialists and other members of the investment teams to develop and enhance our content offering.
- Product Reporting
- Lead the Product Reporting level and thematic regulatory reporting.
- Team leadership
- Lead the evolution of the investment marketing function
- Manage and motivate a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- To drive process excellence in the team and embedding scalable processes and technology-driven solutions that can effectively manage the wide range of products, audiences and geographies
- To embed strong ownership and accountability for the accuracy of all content across the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships with investment, data, and channel teams to align priorities and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Proven experience leading investment content teams within a global asset manager.
- Strong strategic and operational leadership skills, with a track record of driving change and delivery and motivating teams.
- Collaborative approach to stakeholder management across investment, sales, and marketing.
- Ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, engaging narratives.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas that differentiate the brand.
- Expertise in managing compliant communications across multiple jurisdictions.
