Senior Events Manager - Science Museum

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Events Manager to join the team at the famous Science Musuem.

The Senior Events Manager will lead on organising and delivering a wide mix of events across both the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, from meetings and dinners to canapé receptions, museum sleepovers, and silent discos. Acting as the main link between the two venues, the role makes sure events run smoothly and guests have a great experience from start to finish.

About the Senior Events Manager role:

• To operationally lead on site events
• To manage catering logistics, including event file handling, event briefing sheet and service plans
• To ensure all enquiries and client feedback are managed professionally and in a timely manner
• To continuously work towards improving sales and service
• To lead and motivate the team through ongoing evaluations, listening, training and mentoring
• Financial and budget management including forecasting, cost control and forward planning

About the ideal candidate:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire
• Flexibility to work on events as and when required
• Passion for food and wine is a plus!
