A highly regarded, global creative agency is seeking a People Director to lead its people agenda at a key stage of growth and evolution.
Operating within a complex, fast-paced agency environment, the business works with major international clients and is part of a global network. With continued investment and an ambitious leadership team in place, this role offers the opportunity to shape culture, talent strategy, and organisational capability in a creative, performance-driven environment.
This is a senior leadership role suited to an experienced HR professional who understands agency dynamics and can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
Role OverviewThe People Director will take ownership of the full HR function, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
The role spans strategic people planning, operational delivery, and leadership of a small team. You will be responsible for building a scalable, modern people function that supports both commercial performance and long-term talent sustainability, while operating within a wider group framework.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute the agency’s people strategy, aligned to business objectives and client demands
- Act as a senior advisor to leadership on organisational design, workforce planning, and succession
- Own talent attraction, development, performance management, and retention strategies
- Drive cultural initiatives, engagement, and inclusion across the agency
- Manage complex employee relations matters with commercial judgement and discretion
- Oversee reward and benefits, ensuring competitiveness within market and group parameters
- Partner with group-level stakeholders to align on policy, governance, and reporting requirements
- Lead and develop the HR team, building capability and credibility across the business
- Support change, transformation, and restructuring initiatives as required
- Senior People leadership experience within a creative, media, marketing, or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of agency models, project-based teams, and fast-paced delivery
- Confident operating in matrix or group-led organisations
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and solutions-focused
- Trusted advisor style, able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, high-change environments
