Head of Commercial Finance (Planning & Performance) £100,000–£120,000 + 25% bonus Large UK Group – Multi‑Billion Revenue
I’m working with a major UK‑headquartered multinational to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance (Planning & Performance) — a senior, high‑impact role leading group‑level planning, analytics and commercial insight within a complex, fast‑moving organisation.
This position offers direct exposure to Directors and Execs, ownership of the group planning agenda, and the opportunity to lead a high‑performing team shaping financial decision‑making at scale.
The Opportunity Lead Group Planning & Performance- Own the full planning cycle across the group, including budgets, forecasts and long‑range planning
- Provide forward‑looking analysis on performance, risks, opportunities and commercial drivers
- Build and deliver the planning & analytics roadmap, elevating financial insight across the organisation
- Develop better tools, processes and reporting to support operational and strategic decisions
- Partner directly with Directors and senior operational leaders across the group
- Influence decisions through high‑quality commercial insight, challenge and strategic thinking
- Present financial narratives, scenarios and recommendations to executives and senior stakeholders
- Play a key role in shaping long‑term performance and direction
- Lead a team of four ambitious finance professionals
- Set the standard for best‑in‑class business partnering, planning and analysis
- Drive capability uplift, coaching, and a culture of continuous improvement
- Strengthen the function’s overall commercial and strategic impact
You will bring:
- 5+ years post‑qualification experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of business strategy, commercial drivers and operational performance
- Significant experience in planning, forecasting and financial performance analysis
- A track record of influencing senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity
- Outstanding commercial acumen and analytical thinking
- Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
- A proactive, resilient approach with comfort operating in a dynamic, change‑oriented environment
- 25% annual bonus
