Mechanical Construction Manager – Healthcare Project

At Dornan, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Construction Manager to manage mechanical construction for a healthcare project in Central London. This role reports to the Project Manager and involves supervising on-site personnel, ensuring safety and quality standards, and managing resources.

• Support the Project Manager to manage and supervise on‑site personnel on a busy construction site
• Lead by example – set, monitor, and enforce safety standards and exemplary quality of work
• Take responsibility for health and safety on site
• Ensure that employees have the relevant training and expertise to carry out their work safely and professionally
• Manage labour resources on site to ensure efficient working
• Maintain discipline on site, report any incidents and take action as appropriate
• Manage and train apprentices in accordance with relevant training
• Use the purchasing system to acquire materials as required in the most cost‑effective manner
• Assist in ensuring systems are handed over to the client

• Mechanical Trade qualification
• Ability to manage subcontractors, comfortable dealing with multidisciplinary teams
• Technical understanding of mechanical systems
• Understanding of HTMs / HBNs and CQC approval important
