About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adults & Communities as a HR & People Hub Manager based at Bassett Street South Wigston. You will be part of the Business Support Services management team which provides a variety of services across the whole department.

This role leads a team of staff providing support to the departments managers in advertising and the onboarding of staff, ensuring compliance checks such as DBS, vehicle and professional registration is completed and note taking in formal HR panel meetings.

In addition to this you will be the site responsible person for our Bassett Street area office. This involves liaison with other services using the building, ensuring all necessary property checks are completed to schedule, maintaining the record of the office health & safety pack and working with property services to ensure any required works are completed.

You will be expected to spend a proportion of your working week on this site.

This is a varied and interesting role where no two days are the same. If you are driven, innovative and experienced manager then this role is for you.

About You

To apply for this post, you must demonstrate:

  • BTEC National/NVQ level 3/4 or equivalent in Business Admin/Management of Public Admin or relevant work experience and skill set developed in Business Support Services, including management of staff, service delivery and improvement.
  • Previous experience in recruitment and management of staff
  • The management of teams and own time effectively to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with key staff across different specialisms and departments
  • Seeks opportunity to review and improve process including the use of technology to deliver efficiency
  • Management of building Health and Safety requirements and checks, and knowledge areas systems
  • The importance of data protection and confidentiality when handling and processing all types of information
