We are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager for one of our clients on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing the Barts Fire Project, a crucial initiative aimed at enhancing fire resilience within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and overseeing two phases of the fire resilience programme, including ward refurbishment and fire protection in plant rooms
Ensuring the implementation of fire protection measures, medical gas systems, flooring replacements, decoration, nurse call systems, and ventilation changes
Maintaining full-time presence at Barts Newham Hospital in East London, with a minimum of four days per week on-site
Providing comprehensive project management from planning through to completion

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in managing construction projects - ideally within the healthcare sector
Proven ability to work effectively in live healthcare environments
Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Understanding of fire protection systems and healthcare facility requirements

Additional Information:

This is a contract position, an ASAP start and an initial duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The current suite of projects is expected to run through till September, with potential for long-term engagement. This role requires a seasoned construction project manager, accustomed to working in live healthcare settings, to ensure the successful delivery of critical fire resilience initiatives at Barts Newham Hospital.
