Location: Greater London
Our client is a specialist renewable energy financial advisory operating at the intersection of capital, strategy, and delivery across the energy transition. With an established international footprint and a strong pipeline across renewables, storage and emerging low-carbon technologies, they are now seeking a Country Lead for the UK to build, lead and scale their presence in one of Europe’s most active clean energy markets.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands both the commercial realities of project finance and the nuance of building advisory platforms in a competitive, evolving market.
The RoleAs Country Head, you will have full responsibility for the UK business, from origination and client leadership through to team build-out and market strategy.
You’ll work closely with global leadership while owning local execution: shaping the UK value proposition, strengthening relationships with developers, investors and lenders, and positioning the firm as a trusted advisory partner across complex renewable energy transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and grow the UK advisory business, with full P&L and strategic responsibility
- Originate and lead mandates across renewable energy and energy-transition projects
- Act as a senior advisor to developers, investors, utilities and infrastructure funds
- Build and manage a high-performing UK team as deal flow scales
- Strengthen lender and capital markets relationships across banks, funds and DFIs
- Represent the firm in the UK market, enhancing brand, visibility and credibility
- Collaborate with international teams on cross-border transactions and strategy
- Senior background in renewable energy or infrastructure financial advisory, project finance, investment banking or principal investing
- Deep understanding of UK renewable energy markets and financing structures
- Proven ability to originate, lead and deliver complex transactions
- Commercial mindset with experience building or scaling teams or platforms
- Strong network across developers, investors and lenders
- Comfortable operating at both board level and execution level
