Our client, an established, independent construction and property consultancy is seeking to appoint an Associate Director / Senior Associate to join its leadership team.
The business is known for delivering tailored advice across the built environment, supported by a strong reputation for technical excellence and long-standing client relationships.
This is a senior, client-facing role offering a high level of autonomy and influence. The successful candidate will take ownership of cost management commissions from early feasibility through to completion, while also playing a key role in the strategic growth of the division.
The client is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with experience gained within a consultancy environment. Candidates should have a strong residential background, including private residential, affordable housing, Build-to-Rent, later living, and mixed-use schemes, together with exposure to other asset classes such as commercial, leisure, and healthcare. A high level of technical competence is essential, covering feasibility estimating, cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and final accounts, alongside a thorough understanding of UK construction contracts.
The role requires a confident leader who can manage and develop teams, mentor junior staff, and take full accountability for project delivery and client outcomes. Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills are essential, with the ability to build long-term relationships, retain repeat business, and contribute to new work generation.
The ideal candidate will already be operating at Associate Director / Senior Associate level, with clear market credibility and the ambition to progress further.
This position offers a clear pathway to Director, with longer-term progression towards Partner for the right individual.
Applicants must be degree-qualified and hold RICS membership (MRICS or FRICS), with full right to work in the UK.
