Serving as the liaison between the UK branch and AGCS SE's global accounting teams in Germany, the role ensures local compliance, control oversight, and proactive engagement with UK regulators. It coordinates with other AGCS accounting departments outside the UK, such as those handling US-related NAIC and state premium returns.

Functionally embedded within AGCS SE's global accounting organization, the position reports to the Head of Insurance Closing & Reporting in Germany, aligning with group-wide reporting frameworks, policies, and methodologies. Additionally, it holds direct accountability to the UK branch manager for UK regulatory reporting, including sign-offs, regulator communication, and issue escalation, ensuring technical alignment with AGCS standards while maintaining UK branch oversight in line with regulatory governance expectations.

Some

of your specific responsibilities could include

Regulatory Reporting and Oversight:

  • Prepare and coordinate UK and US regulatory reports, including Solvency UK QRTs and US NAIC IID submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with UK PRA and FCA rules and act as the first local reviewer for reports.
  • Oversee timely and complete submissions with proper documentation.
  • Liaise with the UK branch manager to ensure reports reflect business dynamics.
  • Validate figures, investigate anomalies, and provide insights to management.

Governance, Control, and Documentation:

  • Establish and maintain reporting processes and control frameworks.
  • Define materiality and variance thresholds, ensuring effective segregation of duties.
  • Lead documentation and change management for UK and US NAIC reporting.
  • Collaborate with central teams to enhance reconciliation controls.
  • Ensure consistent application of definitions and methodologies.

Liaison and Assurance:

  • Serve as the primary UK finance contact for PRA, FCA, and auditors.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory queries and inspections.
  • Lead local sign-off coordination with the UK branch manager, ensuring compliance with PRA SS40 / 15.

Know-how, Change, and Project Management:

  • Track and assess impacts of new regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a knowledge hub for UK-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate training sessions and knowledge sharing with global staff.
  • Contribute to global projects aimed at improving reporting quality and efficiency.
