Position: Band 8B Senior People and Culture Partner | Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior People and Culture Partner to work in close partnership with senior leaders across the North Mid Health Unit.

This is a high‑impact senior people professional role, providing professional, customer‑focused people and culture support that drives organisational effectiveness, supports transformation, and enables the delivery of high‑quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor and integral member of divisional and directorate senior management teams, providing expert coaching, consultancy and leadership on all aspects of people management and culture.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business priorities and workforce challenges, shaping and delivering pragmatic, evidence‑based people solutions that support performance, engagement, inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and working collaboratively with People, Education, OD and Leadership colleagues to ensure timely and effective workforce support.
  • Coach and support managers to resolve complex people issues, build management capability and embed best practice across their areas of responsibility.
  • Hold designated leadership for key group‑wide workforce initiatives and programmes, with responsibility for their development and implementation.
  • Deputise for the Head of People and Culture or Director of People and Culture as required.
  • Work on site 3 days a week.
