Our client is an expanding institutional brokerage platform providing high-quality execution and market access to hedge funds and asset managers across global markets. The firm combines high-touch flow trading with scalable, technology-enabled infrastructure and operates across multiple asset classes, with ambitions for further expansion.

They are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of the firm’s growth. This is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for scaling the platform, strengthening institutional relationships, enhancing infrastructure, and driving profitability.

The CEO will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team to define and execute the firm’s long-term strategy while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, regulatory standards, and execution excellence.

• Define and execute the firm’s strategic vision, growth roadmap, and commercial priorities within a prime brokerage framework.
• Lead and develop the executive team across trading, sales, technology, operations, compliance, finance, and prime services.
• Drive revenue growth across execution, financing, securities lending, margin, and broader prime brokerage services.
• Strengthen and deepen relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, liquidity providers, custodians, and clearing partners.
• Oversee balance sheet usage, capital efficiency, margin frameworks, and financing strategy.
• Ensure robust risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance in line with Financial Conduct Authority requirements and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Maintain oversight of counter party risk, client onboarding standards, credit frameworks, and operational resilience.
• Partner with technology leadership to enhance scalable prime brokerage infrastructure, reporting, and client tools.
• Represent the firm externally with institutional clients, regulators, banking counter parties, and industry stakeholders.
• Evaluate strategic opportunities including product expansion, geographic growth, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions.

• Must have proven senior leadership experience within a prime brokerage business (CEO, Deputy CEO, COO, Head of Prime Brokerage, or equivalent senior role).
• Demonstrated track record of building, scaling, or materially growing a regulated prime brokerage platform.
• Deep understanding of prime brokerage economics, including financing, margin, securities lending, collateral management, and balance sheet optimisation.
• Strong familiarity with hedge fund client requirements across execution, custody, clearing, and financing solutions.
• Extensive experience engaging with regulators, including the Financial Conduct Authority.
• Clear evidence of revenue growth, franchise development, and disciplined risk oversight within a prime services environment.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on operational capability.
• Credible, senior presence with institutional clients, boards, regulators, and banking partners.
