What We Are Looking For:
We’re seeking a dynamic leader to drive the Third-Party Management (TPM) agenda across HCIB. In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the focal point for all third-party matters, providing expertise and strategic direction to senior and executive management. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the adequacy, adherence, and effectiveness of the TPM framework, supporting regulatory obligations and upholding HSBC’s Global Principles and Outsourcing Framework.
You’ll lead a regional team, align with Global TPM, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders; from 3rd line groups and risk domains to regional COOs and engagement owners. Your success will be measured by improvements in third‑party risk, contract, and performance management, as well as the successful implementation of change programmes and positive stakeholder feedback. If you thrive on influencing consistent supplier risk approaches, staying ahead of regulatory expectations, and ensuring practical, business‑friendly processes, we want to hear from you.
Role Context- Acts as the focal point for all third‑party across HCIB supported by Country and Regional HCIB TPM leads.
- Provides expertise and direction to senior/executive management, building confidence in TPM strategies.
- Engages with a wide range of stakeholders, from 3rd line groups and risk domains to regional COOs and engagement owners.
- Measurable improvements in third party risk, contract, and performance management.
- Aligned regional approach, aligning across sourcing, operations and global TPM.
- Positive feedback from senior COOs and stakeholders.
- No high audit issues against TPM‑owned services.
- Clearly defined service catalogue and unit costs.
- Timely and accurate MI and reporting.
- Successful implementation of change programmes.
- Continually reassess operational risks, considering changing conditions, regulations, and technologies.
- Lead the development of new policy and governance for third party risk management.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance policies, and audit requirements.
- Proven expertise in TPM and regulatory context within financial services.
- Experience leading and improving third party risk and supplier management in large, complex organisations.
- Strong track record in change management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic delivery.
- Experience in shaping policy and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
- Reports directly to the Regional Chief Procurement Officer – HCIB, Europe & Americas.
- Manages the regional TPM leads and VMO Team.
- Works closely with COOs, CROs, risk domain leads, procurement, and operational risk teams.
