We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, FS&GEC Office (12 Month Secondment).
This secondment offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic transformation and lead high-impact initiatives at the heart of HSBC’s Finance, Sustainability, and Group External Communications (FS&GEC) functions. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, manage end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes, and play a pivotal role in shaping the operating model and governance of a critical business area. The position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, values collaboration, and is eager to develop their skills while making a tangible difference in a high-performing, supportive team.
With exposure to senior leadership and the chance to influence key decisions, this role is a strong platform for career growth within HSBC.
- Oversee the design, analysis, approval, execution, and end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes within the CAO and COO area, driving transformation and implementing target operating models across FS&GEC
- Track and report on the progress of strategic programmes, ensuring stakeholders receive timely updates and that projects stay on course
- Handle the administration of the FS&GEC function, including costs, headcount, hiring, investment, controls, governance, people strategy, and communications
- Work closely with Strategy Execution and Change leads, HR, Finance partners, and other stakeholders to coordinate and assist in executing strategic priorities
- Organise and manage internal governance meetings, leadership sessions, and team offsites, while acting as an interface to other functions and initiatives across FS&GEC as required
- Demonstrable experience in project management, change management, and business management is essential to lead and deliver strategic initiatives
- Proven ability to build relationships, demonstrate credibility, and influence multiple senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality summaries of technical and complex subjects for senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail for reviewing and drafting management information (MI) and reporting
- Self-driven and able to work independently, comfortable in a fast-changing environment, and able to multitask and reprioritise activities quickly
