Position: Associate Director – 12 Month FTC
Location: Greater London

Reporting directly to the Head of Open-Ended Funds, the Associate Director holds aleadership position, overseeing operational service delivery, in aclient-facing capacity. They are instrumental in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, with a focus on automation, onboarding new business, and ensuring strong governance of existing processes in line with corporate policies, SLA’s and regulatory frameworks.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Represent the team at client due diligence sessions, board meetings, and during RFP processes as needed.
  • Establish a strong control environment to enable your managers to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for client/internal issues, governance matters, project oversight, and incident management.
  • Collaborate across teams to manage organizational risk by addressing structural inefficiencies, breaking down operational silos, and strengthening inter-team collaboration.
  • Lead performance management across the group, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development discussions.
  • Lead operational projects to improve workflow, enhance automation, launch new clients and services, etc.
  • Represent to Team through the onboarding of new clients and act as a client point of contact, as needed.
  • Understand the TA system and enhance the relevant processes and controls to perform daily operational processes.
  • Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and ownership of associated reporting.
  • Lead and participate in the regular review and enhancement of operational procedures.
  • Support the team strategy and growth of the team and business by identifying areas for process and client experience improvement.
  • Through understanding of the system and processes, drive efficiencies and risk-reduction initiatives.
  • Adhere to all JTC Risk & Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
  • Directly coaching, mentoring and supporting Managers and Assistant Managers within the team.
  • Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
  • Develop self and always ensure knowledge in relevant field.
  • Deputise in the absence of Director.
  • Develop an ability to inspire and motivate the team and the wider Group to sustain the Group’s unique stakeholder culture and adherence to the core competencies.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary or defined by Management and/or Group Board.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Solid and relevant Transfer Agency operational experience, including 8+ years of managerial experience leading significant operational teams.
  • Experience in system migrations, new client onboarding and driving operational improvements through technical innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with proven ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders (Director/MD/SVP level) and external clients (including Board level and MLROs).
  • Strong strategic leadership and thought process, capable of shaping the direction of a growing Investor Services hub.
  • CASS knowledge and experience is desirable
  • A relevant university degree, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial services or related fields.
