• Deputise for the Service Manager when required, contributing to leadership and decision-making
• Provide supervision, coaching, and professional guidance to social workers and support staff

• Ensure statutory duties, safeguarding responsibilities, and practice standards are consistently met
• Support risk management and promote best practice across services

As Social Work Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Service Manager to lead and develop social work services. You will share responsibility for operational management, staff development, and quality assurance, ensuring high standards of practice and positive outcomes for service users and communities.

Qualifications:

• Management or leadership qualification (desirable)

Registration and training:

• Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
• Training in supervision, leadership, safeguarding, and risk management
• Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Experience:

• Significant post-qualification experience in social work
• Experience in a supervisory, senior practitioner, or management support role
• Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks, safeguarding, and risk assessment
• Experience of multi-agency working and service improvement
• Understanding of performance management and quality assurance processes
