At La Fosse, our mission is to make careers, and the lives they transform, more accessible to all. For over 18 years, we’ve partnered with some of the UK’s most innovative and ambitious organisations to build and scale high-performing technology and digital teams.

La Fosse Academy plays a central role in this mission, equipping individuals with the skills and confidence to thrive in digital careers while helping organisations unlock long-term value through upskilling, reskilling, and early-career talent programmes.

Our new apprenticeship provision expands this work further, supporting people already in work to progress into new roles and enabling employers to achieve real, measurable business outcomes through high-quality, sustainable talent development.

About the Role

As La Fosse launches and scales its apprenticeship offering, the Quality & Compliance Manager will play a pivotal, high-accountability role in ensuring our provision is Ofsted-ready, fully compliant, and built on strong quality foundations from day one.

You’ll own and lead our approach to internal quality assurance, inspection readiness, regulatory alignment, and safeguarding. This role is both strategic and hands-on, shaping how quality is embedded across curriculum design, delivery, learner experience, and audit performance as the provision moves from setup into scale.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Apprenticeships, Head of Training, and Data Manager to ensure quality and compliance are not reactive functions, but integral to how apprenticeships are designed, delivered, and improved.

Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Leadership
  • Lead the quality and compliance strategy for La Fosse Academy’s apprenticeship provision through setup, delivery, and scale.
  • Own and drive the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), ensuring they are evidence-led and actively used.
  • Act as the Ofsted nominee and lead preparation for inspections, audits, and external visits.
  • Embed a quality-first culture across the organisation, setting clear expectations and standards.
Compliance & Quality Monitoring
  • Ensure full compliance with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and regulatory requirements from ESFA and DfE.
  • Oversee safeguarding policies, procedures, training, and reporting, ensuring learner welfare is prioritised at all times.
  • Establish and maintain systems for performance monitoring, including learner progression, retention, outcomes, and achievement.
  • Monitor and assure the quality of delivery from third-party or subcontracted providers, including audits and partner QIPs where relevant.
Curriculum & Delivery Assurance
  • Influence curriculum intent, implementation, and impact to ensure programmes meet regulatory standards and learner needs.
  • Oversee internal quality assurance across teaching, learning, assessment, and coaching activity.
  • Support the development and use of learner feedback, observation, and improvement cycles to drive continuous enhancement of delivery quality.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Head of Training, Head of Engagement, and delivery teams to align quality with training design, coaching, and employer experience.
  • Build and manage effective relationships with awarding bodies, End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs), and external agencies.
  • Act as a trusted internal advisor on quality, compliance, and inspection readiness.

You’ll bring deep, hands-on experience leading quality assurance and compliance within apprenticeship provision, with the confidence to operate as a senior authority in a regulated environment.

  • Proven experience leading quality and compliance within an apprenticeship provider setting.
  • Strong, practical understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, ESFA funding rules, and audit requirements.
  • Experience acting as an Ofsted nominee or leading preparation for regulated inspections and audits.
  • A track record of owning and delivering effective SARs, QIPs, and internal audit programmes that drive real improvement.
  • Confidence overseeing safeguarding frameworks and embedding learner protection across delivery teams.
  • Ability to lead through influence and…
