This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a diverse university estate that blends modern academic buildings with historic, listed architecture, including the stunning Old Royal Naval College, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From heritage buildings overlooking the River Thames to vibrant learning environments across Avery Hill and Medway, this is a rare opportunity to lead Hard FM services within one of the most visually striking university campuses in the UK.
About the Role
As our IFM Contract Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Hard Facilities Management services across the campus estate.
Working closely with the Head of Facilities Management & Workplace Experience, you will drive operational performance across Hard FM and integrated services, ensuring best practice in asset management, compliance, and service delivery.
This role combines technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight to ensure Sodexo delivers best-in-class facilities management within a complex and prestigious university environment.
We’re looking for an experienced FM professional with strong technical expertise in Hard FM and the leadership capability to manage complex estates.
Oversee the delivery of Hard FM services across the estate, including maintenance, asset management, statutory compliance and building services.
Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities are delivered in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
Maintain full statutory and regulatory compliance across mechanical, electrical and building infrastructure.
Support asset lifecycle planning and drive operational performance improvements across campus facilities.
Lead operational teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality facilities management services.
Support budget management, financial processes and contract performance monitoring.
Build strong relationships with university stakeholders, operational teams and suppliers to ensure excellent service delivery.
Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation and data-led decision making to enhance performance and workplace experience.

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in Hard Facilities Management within a large estate or complex environment
Strong understanding of building services, statutory compliance and asset management
Experience delivering services within an Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract
Excellent stakeholder management and client engagement skills
Experience managing performance through KPIs, SLAs and compliance frameworks
Strong analytical skills and experience working with CMMS / reporting systems
A collaborative leadership style focused on team development and service excellence
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
