Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
Location: Raynes Park, Wimbledon
Outreach Staffing Solutions are working with a client who are seeking to recruit a passionate and experienced Homes Manager to lead an LD children's home in Raynes Park, Wimbledon.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, child-centred leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care, developing high-performing teams, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
This would be the perfect role for a Deputy Manager with extensive LD experience who is looking to step up without moving immediately into a Registered Manager role.
About the role
As the Homes Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Children's Home regulations.
You will:
- Provide inspirational leadership to a dedicated care team
- Promote a positive, therapeutic environment focused on individual outcomes
- Oversee care planning, risk management, and safeguarding practices
- Manage staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance
- Work closely with placing authorities, families, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records, policies, and quality assurance systems
What are we looking for in the Homes Manager?
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or enrolled (or equivalent)
- Has significant experience working in children’s residential care, including leadership/management experience
- Has extensive experience of working with children with Learning Disabilities, including non-verbal
- Is resilient, compassionate, and child-focused
- Can motivate, support, and develop a team to deliver outstanding care
