London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s fire and rescue service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city. Employing over 5000 people across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer 999 calls), fire safety and our non-operational team (our team who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, which includes Fleet, IT, HR, Finance, Procurement, Communications team and many more).

LFB is seeking an experienced and motivatedBusiness Intelligence Managerto lead the delivery of high-quality analytics, reporting and business intelligence services across the organisation.

This is a key role within the Data & Improvement function, responsible for managing a team of BI and HR Information analysts to ensure the Brigade has the robust data, insight and reporting needed to support operational decision-making, organisational performance and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

You will oversee the development and delivery of business intelligence tools, dashboards and statistical reporting that help the Brigade understand performance, identify emerging risks and improve services for Londoners. You will also play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the Brigade’s data, managing external reporting requirements and supporting transparency through the publication of key information and statistics.

Working closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation, you will help embed a strong culture of evidence-based decision making, enabling the Brigade to make best use of its data to improve services and respond to the evolving needs of London’s communities.

Attendance

This post requires in-person attendance at LFB HQ or fire stations at least two days per week.
