Job Title: General Manager – Commercial Building
Location: Central London
Salary: £60,000 per annum + Discretionary Bonus
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prestigious commercial building in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong leadership, operational, and stakeholder management skills to take ownership of a high-profile property.
The successful candidate will ensure the building operates efficiently, delivers an exceptional occupier experience, and maintains the highest standards of safety, compliance, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operational management of the commercial building.
- Act as the primary point of contact for occupiers, ensuring excellent tenant engagement and service delivery.
- Manage and coordinate on-site service partners including security, cleaning, maintenance, and reception teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Manage operational budgets, monitor expenditure, and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
- Work closely with property management and asset management teams to support the building’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance issues.
- Ensure the building maintains high standards of presentation and operational excellence.
- Lead initiatives that enhance tenant satisfaction and overall building experience.
About You
- Proven experience in commercial property or facilities management, within a multi-tenant office environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good knowledge of health & safety legislation and building compliance.
- Experience managing service contracts and suppliers.
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- NEBOSH or relevant facilities/property management qualification is desirable.
