MADE Careers is working closely with an internationally recognised architecture practice to appoint an Associate Director within its London team.

The studio delivers large scale projects across the UK and Europe and is looking to strengthen its leadership team with someone who combines strong project delivery, client management and team leadership with a forward thinking approach to digital workflows.

Following a recent internal restructure, this role will work directly alongside a Director, supporting a major client account and helping drive performance, efficiency and growth across the team.

The Role

This is a senior, client-facing position with responsibility across project delivery, team management and client relationships.

Working closely with a Director, you will lead complex projects, oversee multidisciplinary teams and act as a key point of contact for both clients and consultants.

Alongside delivery, you will play an important role in shaping how projects are run, embracing digital tools, automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency, consistency and project performance.

Requirements
  • Qualified Architect operating at Associate or Associate Director level
  • Strong experience leading and delivering large-scale projects within architecture, industrial experience beneficial but not essential
  • Confident managing clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects
  • Highly proficient in Revit, with a strong understanding of digital delivery workflows
  • Interest in automation, AI and emerging technologies that improve project delivery and team efficiency
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to balance programme, quality and commercial objectives
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, creating a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of project performance, resourcing and delivery
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions focused, with a collaborative leadership style
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build long term client relationships
  • 29 days annual leave plus Christmas shutdown period
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Join an established international practice with a strong secured pipeline
  • Clear opportunity to develop within a growing leadership team
Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a true second in command position within an established industrial team, supporting the leadership of a major client account while helping shape how projects are delivered in an increasingly digital environment.

The role offers a genuine combination of client responsibility, team leadership, project delivery and sector growth, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate looking to broaden their influence or an established Associate Director seeking a larger platform.
