Role OverviewThe Project Manager (PM) will be part of a team that performs duties to install Security Systems at a variety of customer premises within Europe. This role involves project managing and coordinating the installation of orders received by the company. A great deal of initiative, autonomy, and flexibility is required to adapt to future changes and workload fluctuations. The PM is responsible for supervision of Installation Engineers and Contractors and compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and company policies.
Responsibilities- The Operations Director will allocate new projects to the PM, who will be responsible for planning, scheduling, installation, and handover.
- Upon receiving a new job file, the PM reviews the project with the OD to ensure contract conditions are understood and equipment specifications meet client needs, resolving queries as necessary.
- Document and act on any predetermined program of works and delivery schedule, notifying the customer and Salesman of changes.
- Monitor profitability of projects and highlight concerns to the OD.
- Monitor progress and advise the OD of any changes through regular project reviews.
- Keep the customer and other stakeholders updated on project progress.
- Inform OD immediately if program of works falls behind, especially where liquidated damages may apply.
- Provide or organise customer training and ensure commissioning and completion certificates are signed and provided.
- Ensure all applicable documentation is delivered in suitable format at handover.
- Notify OD of pending project completions to allow handover or attendance if necessary.
- Give feedback to optimise customer invoicing for ongoing projects.
- Comply with BS EN ISO
9001, Health & Safety, NACOSS procedures or local country codes. - Comply with GDPR, ISO
27001 procedures and ensure reporting staff do the same. - Carry out any reasonable requests from management.
- Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience with a similar scope of jobs in quantity and value.
- Strong working knowledge of Electronic Security system installation.
- Training or good awareness of standard contract forms such as NEC3/4, JCT, etc.
- Competent to generate and understand a program of works with Microsoft Project or similar.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, Visio, job costing packages.
