Head of Resident Services

Location:

London E2. Salary: £56,238 per annum.

Hours:

40 hours per week.

Contract:

3–4 Month Fixed-Term Contract. Working Pattern:
Office-based (This is not a hybrid role).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Head of Resident Services to join our team on a 3–4 month contract. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering high-quality resident-focused services, ensuring excellent property management standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will lead the Property Services and Cleaning teams, oversee contractors and consultants, and ensure the effective management of repairs, maintenance, asset management, building safety, and service improvement programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage resident and property services across the organisation.
  • Oversee repairs, planned maintenance, asset management, and compliance programmes.
  • Ensure fire safety, building safety, and health & safety obligations are fully met.
  • Drive service improvement initiatives and achieve key performance targets.
  • Manage contractor performance and procurement activities.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure value-for-money service delivery.
  • Produce performance reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Promote resident engagement and involvement in service monitoring and improvement.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop service teams to deliver excellent outcomes.
About You
  • Significant experience leading housing, resident, property, or asset management services.
  • Strong knowledge of repairs, maintenance, compliance, building safety, and health & safety legislation.
  • Experience managing contractors, budgets, and service performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality customer-focused services.
  • The ability to work strategically while managing operational delivery.
