Corporate Strategy Director

Job Purpose

The role holder will work with senior management in nexfibre as well as with nexfibre’s board of directors and investors across a variety of areas to help define the strategic priorities and direction of the business. This role will create and manage a range of projects across all aspects of the business and lead our assessment of the highly dynamic market landscape, analysing and executing inorganic M&A and joint venture opportunities.

• Lead an internal team of professionals on internal and external market and strategic analysis.
• Conceive and deliver strategic planning and projects using internal and external data sources.
• Work with senior management to develop recommendations for strategic direction and planning across all areas of the business.
• Collaborate and partner across technical and operational business teams as well as with external stakeholders and advisers to deliver strategic projects.
• Analyse inorganic M&A and joint venture opportunities as well as material commercial opportunities.
• Drive the execution of inorganic M&A and joint venture opportunities, coordinating multiple internal stakeholders.
• Manage external advisers efficiently.
• Act as a senior member of the nexfibre team, fostering a culture of excellence and best practice in the company.

• Degree level education or relevant professional qualifications.
• Relevant years of experience in strategy consultancy (private practice/in‑house), ideally in the telecoms sector with fibre experience.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and programme management skills.
• Geo‑spatial analytical experience is an advantage.
• Experience of M&A assessment and execution is highly advantageous.
• Self‑sufficient, comfortable working autonomously and cross‑functionally, and proactive in proposing commercial solutions.
• Dynamic and proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to form effective relationships across all levels, including senior management.

We are based in Paddington. The position is full‑time, hybrid with a minimum3days based in the office.
