Main duties of the jobThis is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced leader to join the North Central London (NCL) General Practice Provider Collaborative (GPPC) at a pivotal stage in its development.
As one of the organisation's founding senior leaders, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation, identifying and developing new opportunities, and delivering programmes that strengthen General Practice across North Central London. This is a rare opportunity to help build a new organisation, influence its culture and ways of working, and make a lasting impact on Primary Care and population health.
We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering complex programmes and transformation within healthcare or similarly complex environments. You will be a skilled collaborator, able to build strong relationships with General Practice, system partners and stakeholders, while leading teams to deliver high-quality services and sustainable improvements for patients across North Central London.
About usThe NCL General Practice Provider Collaborative is a newly formed Community Interest Company (CIC) and the successor to the successful North Central London General Practice Provider Alliance. We are a membership organisation bringing together the six GP Federations across North Central London and, through them, local General Practice.
The GPPC provides a strong collective voice for General Practice, developing strategic partnerships across the health and care system, influencing service design and improving patient outcomes. It also delivers and coordinates services at scale, harnessing the expertise, reach and capacity of General Practice.

Job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Strategy, Business Development and Growth
Support the Chief Executive Officer in establishing and developing the GPPC as a high-performing, sustainable organisation.
Work with the Chief Executive Officer, Medical Director and Board to translate strategic priorities into deliverable programmes.
Contribute to the development of the organisation's business plan and programme portfolio.
Identify strategic opportunities for innovation, service improvement and collaborative working across North Central London.
Lead the development of business cases, proposals and funding submissions to secure new opportunities and support organisational growth.
Programme Leadership and Delivery
Lead the development and delivery of the GPPC's portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring they align with organisational strategy and system priorities.
Ensure programmes deliver high quality outcomes, value for money and measurable benefits for patients, practices and partners.
Develop programme plans, milestones and governance arrangements to ensure successful delivery.
Monitor programme performance, risks, dependencies and benefits, taking timely action to address issues and maintain delivery.
Establish and embed programme management methodologies, governance processes and reporting arrangements to support the organisation's growth and maturity.
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with member Federations, General Practice, commissioners and wider system partners.
Represent the GPPC at meetings and partnership forums, promoting the organisation's aims and the contribution of General Practice.
Work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to design and deliver programmes that meet local needs.
Foster effective collaboration across organisations to support successful programme delivery.
Act as deputy to the Chief Executive Officer as required, representing the organisation and providing leadership across the GPPC.
Leadership, Governance and Culture
Provide leadership and support to programme teams and delivery teams within Federations, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective programme governance, reporting and assurance for the Chief Executive Officer and Board.
Promote high standards of quality, equality, inclusion and organisational values across all areas of responsibility.
