Project Director / Project Manager / Construction Project Director

Finland (EU Passport Holders – International Rotation Available)

€150,000 - €180,000 basic + benefits

Permanent role

A Project Director is required to lead the end-to-end delivery of a major construction project in Finland, with full responsibility across cost control, programme management, commercial performance, quality assurance and stakeholder coordination.

This is a senior delivery leadership role suited to experienced construction professionals who can operate at both strategic and hands‑on project level. You will be responsible for managing complex, multidisciplinary teams including subcontractors, vendors and consultants across a high-value, technically demanding construction environment.

This opportunity is open to EU passport holders and offers various rotation schedules, making it suitable for candidates seeking international project exposure and structured working arrangements across Europe.

Role
  • Lead full project delivery including cost, schedule and budget control
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors and consultancy teams across all phases
  • Ensure programme milestones are achieved and risks are proactively managed
  • Oversee procurement strategy and long-lead equipment coordination
  • Chair client and stakeholder coordination meetings
  • Monitor construction cost performance and provide commercial reporting
  • Review and approve pricing, proposals and scope definitions
  • Validate subcontractor applications, valuations and cost submissions
  • Support engineering and design decisions impacting delivery and cost
  • Integrate project controls, scheduling and reporting functions
  • Oversee commercial administration including invoicing and payments
  • Lead project completion, handover, documentation and close‑out
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction project delivery or project management
  • Strong leadership experience on complex construction or infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong commercial and financial project management capability
  • Excellent understanding of programme controls and delivery sequencing
  • Strong stakeholder and client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced project environments
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects (data centre experience advantageous)
  • EU passport and willingness to work internationally on rotation
