The Global Procurement and Vendor Management (GPVM) team is responsible for sourcing and category management of approximately €6bn of external third‑party expenditure. As Portfolio Lead, you will act as a high‑performing Director who focuses on business and supplier engagement, people development, delivery against objectives and projects, and process improvements. You will protect value by minimizing the risk of commercial loss and negotiating contracts to mitigate commercial disputes.

Engage with the Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Private Bank, wider business areas, and suppliers to develop value‑led joint strategic account plans, product and service roadmaps, ensuring maximum value is being driven from the sourcing process. Develop supplier relationships and collaborate with suppliers to identify and drive innovation. Manage a team of professional Category Directors. Lead the development of category strategies with business stakeholders, communicating a clear and collective vision to generate savings.
EssentialSkills & Experience
- Experience in Financial Services, specifically Investment, Corporate or Private Banking, including procurement of banking software and operations.
- In‑depth understanding of third‑party management/service delivery and experience leading global strategic supplier‑management relationships with complex organisations.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated team player with strong interpersonal and management skills.
- Strategic agility to create competitive and breakthrough strategies.
- Strong sourcing and governance focus with excellent negotiation skills.
- Professional certification beneficial – Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or similar, and good knowledge of contract law in the United Kingdom, Germany, United States and/or internationally.
