On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.
About the CompanyOur client is a UK-based logistics technology company providing last‑mile delivery solutions to e‑commerce businesses. Operating through 40+ micro‑fulfilment hubs and 800 active couriers, the business processed over 5 million deliveries last year and is growing at 40% year‑on‑year. The Head of Operations is building a management layer to maintain service quality as the network scales.
The RoleAs Operations Manager, you will have end‑to‑end accountability for operational performance across a defined geographic region. You will manage a team of Operations Coordinators, own regional courier partner relationships, and drive continuous improvement in delivery SLAs and cost per parcel.
What You’ll Do- Manage daily operational performance across your region, monitoring SLAs, managing exception queues, and ensuring courier availability meets demand.
- Lead and develop a team of 3–5 Operations Coordinators.
- Own relationships with regional courier network partners, conducting performance reviews and resolving service issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost or improve reliability.
- Produce regular performance reports with root cause commentary and improvement plans.
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 1 year managing a team.
- Experience in a high-volume operational environment (logistics, fulfilment, or courier network).
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets to diagnose performance issues.
- Decisive and action-oriented; calm under pressure during operational incidents.
- Base salary of £48,000 – £62,000, depending on experience.
- Annual performance bonus.
- 25 days holiday and hybrid working with regional site visits.
