Overview

Join us as a Derivatives Middle Office Senior Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for trade lifecycle and process controls, leading process re-engineering initiatives to align with Global Markets Operations objectives. You should have a strong understanding of risk management, reconciliation/control design and process optimization. A focus on continuous improvement, data validation and efficient control management is essential for success in this role.

Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels is crucial.

Experience and skills

To be successful as a Derivatives Middle Office Senior Manager, you should have experience with:

  • Strong technical background in Rates, Macro, Foreign Exchange (FX) Derivatives and Commodities.
  • Solid risk and control mindset with understanding of control/reconciliation design.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive check and challenge approach.
  • Strong understanding of Markets Trade Capture Systems in Rates, Macro, FX Derivatives and Commodities.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, especially with senior audiences in control forums.
  • Experience in automation, change management, and process optimisation.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities
  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
