As Senior Transport & Growth Programme Manager you’ll shape TfL’s approach across many of London’s most strategically important growth locations, Opportunity Areas and transport interchanges.
Working with senior leaders across TfL, the GLA Group, London boroughs, and Government, you’ll influence investment priorities, develop innovative solutions and help ensure transport enables London’s long‑term growth.

This role sits on the Spatial Planning and City + Place Unit Leadership Teams and you’ll have significant autonomy to develop new ideas, build trusted partnerships and influence decisions across organisational boundaries. This is a rare opportunity to combine strategic thinking, programme leadership and public service at city‑wide scale.

Key Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Shape TfL’s strategic approach to growth areas and major interchanges, setting direction, establishing governance and bringing together expertise from across the organisation
  • Develop place‑based strategies, masterplans and proposals for world‑class interchanges, representing TfL’s interests in the context of complex built environment sector in London
  • Shape future investment by overseeing the development, assessment and feasibility of projects, building robust cases for preferred solutions
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement
    , helping TfL develop new approaches to planning for sustainable growth
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across TfL, the City + Place Unit and the rest of the GLA Group, London boroughs, Government and the private sector, influencing decisions that shape London’s future
  • Develop and support the next generation of planning and programme professionals by sharing knowledge, championing inclusive leadership and fostering collaboration across teams
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Skills
  • Able to think and lead strategically, making connections across TfL’s, GLA's and borough activities (Essential)
