Full Time/37.5 Hours We offer a range of therapeutic and community-based activities as part of a full treatment programme. We want to support people to become more confident and independent, preparing them to move through their treatment pathway towards community living.

What you'll be doingIn this role, you will lead by ensuring operational efficiency of the Therapy department, supporting your teams to success through effective leadership, while ensuring patients receive excellent care through the delivery of tailored treatment plans and ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Provide visible, effective leadership and management to a large multidisciplinary therapy team, fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture that promotes collaboration, accountability and continuous professional development.
- Oversee the operational delivery of therapy services, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based care is delivered in line with regulatory standards, professional guidelines and Priory policies.
- Lead, support and develop therapists through regular supervision, performance management, appraisals and mentoring, identifying training needs and creating opportunities for career progression.
- Work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists, Nursing, Psychology and wider MDT colleagues to ensure integrated, patient-centred care and positive clinical outcomes across all services.
- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, workforce planning and resource allocation to ensure therapy services are appropriately staffed and operate efficiently.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, monitoring clinical outcomes, service performance and patient feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous service enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, governance processes, professional body requirements and organisational policies, maintaining high standards of clinical practice and documentation.
- Lead on service development projects, implementing new pathways and initiatives that enhance the patient experience and support the strategic objectives of the hospital.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively, ensuring services remain cost-effective while maintaining exceptional standards of care.

What you'll bring to the roleThe ideal candidate will have previous experience leading or managing a multidisciplinary therapy or clinical team within a healthcare, mental health or hospital setting. They will demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams to deliver outstanding patient care. Experience in operational management, including workforce planning, recruitment, budgeting and resource allocation, would be highly beneficial, alongside a sound understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, CQC standards and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who can build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and influence key stakeholders. They will have experience driving service development, leading change initiatives and using performance data to monitor outcomes and improve service delivery. Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential, enabling them to manage competing priorities within a busy and dynamic healthcare environment.
A relevant management qualification or professional registration would be advantageous, although this is not essential and requirements may vary depending on the needs of the service.
