Contract details:

Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week over five days, 09.00 - 17.00 Term time only plus six weeks in the holidays - 39 weeks each year

The role:

A vacancy has arisen for a PA to the Deputy Head Pastoral and the Director of Safeguarding, supporting them in the provision of the highest standards of pastoral and safeguarding services throughout the School. You will provide administrative support to two directors and the Senior House Master. You will manage diaries, coordinate support at a wide range of meetings and committees, and oversee the maintenance of important documents and policies that are essential to ensure a safe and happy environment for the boys  is an opportunity for involvement at the heart of the School's pastoral activities in a busy, challenging and continuously changing environment, and a unique insight into the life of our vibrant and historic School.

The skills:

This role will suit a candidate with experience of supporting senior managers who has first-class administrative and PA skills. The directors will rely on you to utilise your good judgement, discretion and initiative to deal with enquiries effectively, referring issues swiftly to the correct staff member for an efficient response. Your solid experience in a busy office and excellent organisation abilities will allow you to manage multiple tasks with short deadlines to ensure that colleagues, senior staff members and parents are assured of a good service.

The experience you have of maintaining important documentation and policies with attention to detail will be very useful in this crucial aspect of the role. Your strong written and verbal communication skills and tactful, approachable manner will enable you to build strong professional relationships throughout the School.

Harrow School is situated within a beautiful site in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world, with around 835 boys studying  role is situated in the offices of Harrow School's Senior Management Team, working within a friendly and supportive administrative department.
