Your Mission

As Maintenance Manager UK, you will be responsible for the operational performance, maintenance delivery, service reliability, and asset availability of ubitricitys EV charging infrastructure across the United Kingdom.
You will lead the management of maintenance contractors, oversee Run & Maintain contracts, drive network availability, and ensure maintenance activities are delivered in line with contractual obligations and service level agreements. Working closely with local authorities, service providers, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and the continued growth of the UK's EV charging network.
Your Responsibilities

  • Own and manage maintenance operations across the UK EV charging network, ensuring high standards of safety, service delivery, and operational performance.
  • Oversee planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and agreed service levels.
  • Drive charger availability and network uptime through effective maintenance planning, performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead investigations into recurring faults and service issues, implementing corrective actions to improve asset reliability and customer experience.
  • Manage maintenance contractors, suppliers, and service providers, holding them accountable for performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and contractual requirements through regular governance and performance reviews.
  • Own the performance and compliance of Run & Maintain contracts, identifying risks, opportunities, and service improvements to support business objectives.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for local authorities, contractors, service providers, and key stakeholders, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Analyse maintenance and operational data to identify trends, improve service performance, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance-related budgets, contractor expenditure, purchase orders, and invoice approvals, ensuring effective financial control and value for money.
  • Manage inventory levels, spare parts, and stock control processes, ensuring critical components are available to support maintenance activities, minimise downtime, and support network growth.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Asset Management, Delivery, Finance, Product, and other internal teams to resolve operational issues and support the successful delivery of business objectives.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing initiatives that enhance operational performance, customer satisfaction, network reliability, and maintenance efficiency.
Your profile

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in maintenance management, service delivery, asset management, infrastructure operations, utilities, transport, telecommunications, EV charging, or a similar operational environment.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance contractors, suppliers, and service providers, with responsibility for performance, compliance, and delivery against contractual KPIs and SLAs.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, incident management, contract management, and operational service delivery within an asset-intensive environment.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, supplier expenditure, invoice approvals, procurement activities, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated experience managing spare parts, inventory, stock control processes, and asset lifecycle activities to support operational performance.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, develop performance insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with experience working across internal teams, suppliers, contractors, local authorities, and external partners.
