Fire Safety Manager

In this role you will provide fire safety expertise across managers, Estates teams and clinical departments to ensure compliance with Fire Code and HTM 05 guidance. You will lead fire risk assessments, coordinate training and drills, and support construction and estates projects to enhance safety. You will liaise with regulators and senior leaders, oversee fire response planning and audits, and manage budgets for fire safety initiatives.

• Investigate fire incidents and report findings with recommendations via Datix Lead fire risk assessments, prioritise actions and maintain regulatory compliance Develop and implement fire safety policies aligned with HTM 05 guidance Deliver and oversee fire safety training, evacuation drills, and maintain training records Advise on fire safety in construction projects, refurbishments and Estates activities Produce reports and annual fire safety audits Oversee fire response arrangements, including drills and emergency plans Manage fire safety budgets and contribute to financial planning Support safe contractor management, including reviewing RAMS and issuing Hot Work Permits Monitor fire safety systems, inspections, maintenance schedules and false alarm reduction Tasks Master's degree in Fire Safety or equivalent professional qualification Member/Graduate grade of IFE or IFPO (or similar) Thorough knowledge of Fire Safety, Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Legislation and Codes of Practice Experience of healthcare fire safety and knowledge of NHS guidance, Fire Code, HTMs and HBNs Key requirements flexible working arrangements _ Produce reports and annual fire safety audits Oversee fire response arrangements, including drills and emergency plans Manage fire safety budgets and contribute to financial planning Support safe contractor management, including reviewing RAMS and issuing Hot Work Permits Monitor fire safety systems, inspections, maintenance schedules and false alarm reduction Tasks Master's degree in Fire Safety or equivalent professional qualification Member/Graduate grade of IFE or IFPO (or similar) Thorough knowledge of Fire Safety, Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Legislation and Codes of Practice Experience of healthcare fire safety and knowledge of NHS guidance, Fire Code, HTMs and HBNs Key requirements flexible working arrangements
