Head of Health and Safety

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Head of Health and Safety manager to join my client in their Redbridge site.

Reporting to the Director of Sustainability and Corporate Governance you will be responsible for leading and delivering the organisation's health,safety and building strategy. the role ensures fill compliance with UK legislation and industry standards, including IS0 45001, the Building safety Act 2022, and BS 5975 (Temporary Works Procedures)

Duties will include:

• Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the ISO 45001 certified OH & S management System
• Ensure compliance with all ISO 45001 Clauses, including organisational context and stakeholder engagement, leadership and worker consultation, operational planning and control, management review and continual improvement
• Oversee internal and external audits
• Maintain document information and compliance records

Building Safety Act 2022 Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act 2022
• Provide strategic oversight for Higher Risk Buildings
• Liaise with the Building Safety regulator

Designated Individual(DI)

• Be responsible for establishing and maintaining the competent temporary works
• Approve and monitor register
• Promote competency
• Audit compliance with BS 5975
