Help Shape the Future of Health, Safety & Quality at Hollis

At Hollis, we believe the best ideas come from people who are trusted to make things happen.

We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Quality leader to help shape the next chapter of our specialist service. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial consultancy where you'll be empowered to influence strategy, develop people, strengthen client relationships and create lasting impact across the built environment.

You’ll inherit an established service with an active workload, a strong reputation and a talented team. Beyond that, you’ll have the freedom to help define what the service becomes in the years ahead.

If you’ve successfully led and grown a Health & Safety, Quality, CDM or related consultancy service within the real estate and built environment sector and are looking for a role where your contribution can genuinely influence business direction, we’d love to hear from you.

Why This Role is Different

This isn’t simply about maintaining an existing service. It’s about leading talented people, developing capability, identifying opportunities, enhancing client value and helping a respected consultancy continue to evolve.

You’ll work alongside senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams across the business, with the autonomy to make decisions, challenge thinking and drive positive change.

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a business where people are trusted to build their own success rather than follow someone else’s blueprint.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants ownership, influence and room to grow a specialist service, not just step into a predefined role.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading and developing the Health, Safety & Quality service.
  • Creating a clear vision and direction for future growth.
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing a team of specialists.
  • Building an inclusive, positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of technical delivery and client service.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients across the real estate and built environment sectors.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance and expand service capability.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
  • Supporting recruitment and succession planning as the service continues to develop.
  • Championing innovation, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
About You

You’ll be an experienced leader who enjoys building successful teams, developing people and helping services grow. You’ll combine technical credibility with commercial awareness and have a genuine passion for delivering high-quality advice that makes a difference to clients.

  • Significant experience within Health & Safety, Quality, CDM, compliance, risk management or a related consultancy discipline.
  • Extensive experience within the built environment and real estate sector as a H&S/CDM Consultant, Principal Designer or similar.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing and growing a consultancy service, business unit or specialist team.
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing professionals.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing new service offerings or growing existing ones.
  • A collaborative leadership style and a commitment to supporting others to succeed.
  • A desire to contribute beyond day-to-day delivery and help shape business direction.
  • Relevant professional qualifications and memberships appropriate to the discipline.
The Company

Hollis is a leading independent real estate consultancy. We work with owners, occupiers, developers and funders, across both private and public sectors, to help them get more out of their real estate, at every stage of the property life cycle.

We’re a multi-skilled team of surveyors, engineers, ESG consultants, project managers and technical specialists operating across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands. We have a unique way of working and believe that people do things better by doing them together. We aim to do the right thing, be clear, transparent and find some fun along the way.
