Position: General Manager Designate amp; Home Counties
We currently have a great opportunity for a General Manager Designate to join us within the London & Home Counties areas. As a General Manager Designate, you will be based at one of our cinemas within 1 hour of your location and receive full cinema management training to set you up for success. You will occasionally support other cinemas in the region with the aim of moving to a permanent General Manager position as and when one becomes available.

This is a full-time position, working 39 hours across 5 days. Evenings and weekends are the peak trading times, so broad availability is essential. You wouldn’t be required to work every evening/weekend but would be expected to lead by example and best understand how the business is performing.

* Salary range: £42,500-£46,250, plus a discretionary bonus scheme offering up to 12.5% of base salary (with an on-target bonus of 7%)

What will you be doing?

* You will be working closely with the Regional Manager to communicate and deliver the operations strategy across your cinema to achieve the highest quality customer experience possible.

* You will be leading a team of people that fulfil a variety of roles from Team Members through to Cinema leadership. This will also include encouraging your team to continue their learning and career development.

* You will help your team work towards key targets & KPIs that are used to improve revenue and cinema operations.

* You will ensure the cinema remains legal and compliant through effective leadership and delegation of responsibilities.

About you

* A driving licence and access to own transport is essential.

* You will be flexible with travelling to different sites when required and be able to relocate when General Manager positions come up in the area.

* You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing large teams in a retail, hospitality or any other customer facing industry. This includes running the general operations from health & safety to establishing best practices.

* You will have experience managing the P&L, with the skills to analyse and identify opportunities for savings or growth.

* You will be a strong communicator who can deliver key messages effectively and empower your team.

* You will be someone who isn’t scared of leading by example, as this is a role where you will be required to be hands on and jump into various roles on the cinema floor on occasion.
