About the role

At Hammersmith and Fulham, we are ambitious in reforming the council to ensure this is a place for everybody. Within the Economy department, we aim to be efficient in everything that we do. We believe our residents deserve a place that is safe and clean.
Hammersmith & Fulham is ambitious for its residents and determined to deliver excellent housing services that are safe, responsive and shaped with local people. We are looking for an exceptional leader to join us as the Disrepair Manager taking a pivotal role in improving outcomes for residents and leading a high-profile service within our Client Repairs Team.
You will lead an disrepair team delivering on all legal disrepair cases and refuted claims with strong liaison with legal teams, staff and residents.
We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with experience of the disrepair protocol and an eye for detail and deadlines. You will be able to lead through change, build strong relationships residents, contractors and partners, and create a culture that is focused on accountability, performance and resident satisfaction. You will bring experience of delivering disrepair work, alongside strong financial and contract management skills, and a clear understanding of the legislative and regulatory context for housing repairs.
At Hammersmith & Fulham, we do things with residents, not to them. That commitment sits at the heart of this role. You will help shape services that reflect resident priorities, support our wider ambitions around sustainability and value for money, and contribute to a council that is striving to be the best in the country. If you are motivated by public service, passionate about housing, and ready to make a visible difference in a borough with high ambition and strong values, we would love to hear from you.
Our mission is to be the best council. To do this we need the best people to help build our vision. If you're looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, professional environment whilst making a difference then we look forward to hearing from you.
