About the role

The  Manager is a key part of the central . They lead on project management and preparations for the REF
2029 submission. They will use experience and judgement to analyse data, make recommendations, draft and edit components of the . The postholder will work with ICT and the Library to support the central Head of  Faculty  in database management, including for audit purposes. Excellent project management and communication skills are crucial to this role to ensure that a high-quality submission is delivered within the tight timeframe of the  you would be doing

As  Manager you will act as a subject matter expert on  and procedures and develop University-wide policies and procedures relating to REF
2029, as well as managing the
-related element of the annual HESA staff return. You will lead the analysis of
-related data, and design and oversee development of reports and data dashboards, working with colleagues across the University. You will lead the development of institutional-level narrative statements, working closely with colleagues to support the development of disciplinary level evidence statements, ensuring consistency of approach. You will take an active role in the governance, committees and working groups associated with REF
2029.What we are looking forWe are looking for a motivated and diligent individual with excellent project management and data analysis skills, and ideally with knowledge or experience of the Research Excellence Framework who will be able to demonstrate:

Experience of co-ordinating and delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines

Experience of working with large datasets relevant to research outputs or institutional reporting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with data visualisation and dashboard development with PowerBI or equivalent relevant tools

Awareness of data management best practices, including audit and compliance requirements

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels
