Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Epic-certified/accredited professional with a keen interest in digital healthcare. The successful candidates will join an experienced and diverse team of analysts who support UCLH's Epic EHR and our wider digital partnerships. Our current opportunity is in the outpatient team which supports the following modules;
Ambulatory (incl. Beacon), MyChart, Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, Epic Care Link, Cheers. Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Epic helps us deliver safer, more efficient and patient-centred care by giving staff and patients access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. Our team also supports the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) and will play an important role in future Epic Connect partnerships.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder leads the design, configuration, build and testing of their application module, ensuring delivery against governance, quality standards and project plans. Working with clinicians, operational managers and subject matter experts, they analyse service needs, define best practice workflows and support system optimisation aligned with Trust strategic objectives.

They develop and support analysts, collaborate across integrated EHR teams, and contribute to upgrades, testing and safe deployment of new functionality. The role includes resolving incidents, providing specialist end user support, and maintaining strong relationships with departmental leads to ensure effective, clinically aligned system use.

It is a requirement that candidates hold Epic certification or accreditation, ideally but not necessarily within the applications we are recruiting into. If you do not have certification/ accreditation within the relevant application, you will be required to undertake a period of training to obtain this. You will be fully supported by your manager and team throughout this process. You should have a good understanding of NHS services, experience in configuring Epic, & have enthusiasm to improve services through digital technology.
